~ THE BEAUTIES OF CHILDREN~

& How Healing Inner Children Heals the World

Children live in the most miraculously beautiful minds in the world.

As I witness the 3 year-olds at my mom's preschool, I ponder the infinite wonders and expansive beauties within them. They are so trusting and so open. They are so creatively imaginative and so deeply playful. They are so tender and in-tune with the energies around them. They are so authentically expressive and bravely honest. They are so brilliant in the ways they create new worlds out of thin air. They are so enchanted and enchanting as they explore unseen possibilities through their own playful imagination. They can be so endearing in the ways they use verbal language. Their experiences are so raw and real, the simplest of sensations provoking such a deep connection with experience and with life itself. They are so curious and nonjudgmental. They are so energetic and engaged in movement. They have no agenda other than presence. The expect nothing except the world at their fingertips. They are open about their desires and grateful for what comes their way. They rarely resort to shame or blame; they have not yet learned these fear-based characteristics that so commonly infect adults.

They allow feelings to genuinely flow through them. Emotional suppression is not yet an automated tendency for them. They ride the waves of life experience without being phased by the many ups and downs: flowing waves are their own beautiful version of normal. Life is a collage of experiential sensations without a limiting story to reduce their sensational exploration.

Everyone has an inner child. Deeply secreted within the unconscious brain exist subconscious neuropathways from early childhood that continue to dominate life from "behind-the-scenes" of consciousness.

Approximately 80% of decision-making comes from these brain regions, where implicit procedural memories of approach and avoidance are secreted within our upper brain stem and thalamus {Levine, 2015}. From my perspective, this means that the majority of how we conduct ourselves in day to day affairs, the way we choose to respond to experience, and the moment by moment decisions, both big and small, that shape our lives, all derive from our inner child. Our beliefs about who we are, what we're worth, and what is allowed or possible throughout life all stem from our inner child. Even our nervous system regulation correlates with early childhood experiences. The seeds of all personhood processes are planted during early childhood and sprout the gardens of our lives for the decades that follow.

Living in a mosaic mind means that parts of my consciousness never left these stages of early childhood. Aspects of my neurophysiology return to these childhood experiences in a profound way. Even though I inhabit an adult body, my brain often experiences age regression, causing its entire experience to return to the way it operated during early childhood. Child parts of my consciousness, often referred to as "Littles," come forward and experience life for me. During these times, I often gain access to memories from when I was very young, while losing access to more recently acquired memories of adulthood. These miraculous experiences are a testament to the power of our inner child. Multiconscious mosaic minds all across the globe experience their own inner children who are unique persons with their own completely separate consciousness. Uniconscious individuals have an energetic inner child, a unique part of their own consciousness, affecting their experiences from behind the scenes. Children hold the secrets to life, the meaning of love, and the truth about purposeful potential. Healing our inner children, whether a part of our own consciousness or a separate inner person with their own consciousness, helps us heal, transform, and empower ourselves from the inside-out of our miraculous consciousness. Healing our inner children changes our world in the deepest ways imaginable. When we create healing change in our individual worlds, we plant energetic seeds of healing change in the world at large. When everyone steps into their personal power by healing their inner child, the entire world heals. World change happens. We free ourselves.
